Groups of volunteers working towards improving the village environment and amenities in various ways for local residents and visitors.
Litterpicking

A small group of litter pickers patrol the Village each week, armed with bin bags and litter picking tools, to keep it clean for residents and visitors . New volunteers very welcome. Litter picking can be done on any day that suits but Monday & Friday mornings seem to be current favourites. For more information please contact Robbie on 623320.
Care4Castleton
A group of volunteers look after various areas and planters in the Village including the bank along the Mill Leat in the main carpark (right) and at the bus turnround. New volunteers always welcome

Concerned for Castleton

CforC exists to document the problems affecting Castleton, prioritise them and report them to the responsible bodies. Litter picking activity, parking infringements and other issues can be reported here.
Castleton Speed Watch

Community Speedwatch is a community run scheme operating in collaboration with the local police force to allow trained volunteers to report vehicles exceeding the speed limit.
